Busy Monday

Good afternoon.

We kicked off our morning with some quiet reading before practicing our double digit addition strategies. We continued on with this after gym as well.

When we came in from recess, Ms. Zimmermann's class had music, while Mr. Fisher's class watched a video about bees. When we all got together before lunch, we got our new Spelling Words for the week.

This afternoon, we did a little more quiet reading before starting a new Social Studies unit. We are learning about an Acadian community called Meteghan located in Digby County, Nova Scotia. Ask your child what they learned about today!

PLEASE be on the lookout for the Storybook Theatre field trip forms that were sent home last week! We would like the permission slips returned by TOMORROW (as our trip is tomorrow) with the $5.00 per student cost. All volunteers have been contacted! Thank you.

REMINDERS:

Fun Lunch envelopes are due back on Wednesday, June 1st. This will be the last one of the year!

Our school is voting on what we want to dress up as for SPIRIT DAY which will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd. All students who choose to donate to the Fort McMurrary Families will be able to dress up on Spirit Day. Donations are to be submitted by TOMORROW in order for the Red Cross to match all of our donations.
