The Flying Fox Bat!

Good afternoon,

Today we started with a quiet read. After that, we worked on our Triple Scoop Words. We have a sheet that can write examples on for use later on. We learned what a Thesaurus is and how to used it.

In gym we played a new game that was kind of like dodgeball. One team had to try to get gold while other teams tried to hit them with balls.

After gym, we continued working on Triple Scoop Words and we read a little bit of Silverwing.

After recess, room 7 had music while room 8 worked on math.

Before lunch we did some increasing patterns and some skip counting. We had to have one problem done and give ourselves a mark before we could leave for lunch.

This afternoon, we started with quiet reading.

Then, we had science. We learned more about bats. We watched a video about the Flying Fox bat. It is the world's largest bat. It has a wing span of up to 6ft long. We also drew a picture of a bat's roost and labelled it. We could draw any type of roost as long as it was realistic.

Reminder room 7 and 8 have library tomorrow. Please return your books.

Have a great evening!
